Program:

Our guest artist for June is Rodney Clemons, a well respected and talented teacher and artist. Through the years Mr. Clemons has created many terrific bonsai from boxwood as well as about any other material you can think of. We are drawing on his experience with boxwoods to work with members on Morris Midget boxwoods. These trees have leaves only slightly larger than Kingsville boxwood but are faster growers.

The trees hand-picked for the TBS workshop(images) on Saturday, June 5th, have trunks with a diameter at the soil line of about 3/4 inch. There are many branches to choose from for your design and will produce shohin-size or slightly larger bonsai. There will be two workshops on the 5th with the morning session (9:00am-12:00pm) for the styling and designing the Morris Midget boxwoods and the afternoon session (1:30pm-4:30pm) for a BYOT workshop. (For details and registration)

On Sunday, at our regular monthly meeting, Mr. Clemons will present a lecture/demo for all TBS members.
